The Rhea County Fair was established in 2007 from the dreams and visions of Harold Fisher, Glen Varner, Jim Hall, Sr. and George Beaty.
Harold Fisher had taken his wife, Jane, on their first date at the former Rhea Rural Fair before it was dissolved and his passion for county fairs remained unrivaled. The "4 Old Men," as known by their fellow board members, worked with Rhea County to purchase and establish the current fairgrounds. The Rhea County Fairgrounds was made official in 2008.
The grounds are located off of Eagle Lane across from what is now Rhea County Middle School in Evensville, at the center of Rhea County. Though 2 of our 4 founders are no longer with us, the Rhea County Fair Board strives to continue their vision by growing the Rhea County Fair year after year.
We can't wait to see y'all at the Fairgrounds!
